Personal Safety (PS 2-24-25)


Description
Your personal safety is our top priority! In this course, you will learn tips and tricks for staying safe wherever you are: in your home, outside, even on the internet. You will get to practice keeping your passwords secure and recognizing and reacting to risky situations, like internet scams. Learn about safety related to your health, preventative care, medication management, and more, and leave this class with more confidence in staying safe. Remember, safety first!

This course will run from 2/24 - 3/30/2025
Seminars will meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-6:30 E

By the end of this course, learners should be able to….
1. Identify basic proactive safety skills and techniques.
2. Recall personal contact information.
3. Define safe and responsible use of social networking and technology.
4. Distinguish irregularities in your physical and/or mental well-being.
5. Explain the difference between emergency and non-emergency needs.
6. State practices for routine preventative care.
